One of the things I was most excited to do when we moved to D.C. was go apple picking! There weren’t any apple orchards near us in Boca, and I really missed spending a crisp fall day amongst the trees. Thus, I was so excited to go out into the country when the weather cooled down last week. We went to Mackintosh Fruit Farm and had the best time!
The farm had a variety of apples, so we picked a few different kinds. They also had pumpkins, and in the summer they have berries.
They also had a restaurant with delicious sandwiches and barbecue, and homemade apple cider. It was delicious and so refreshing. We also took home fruit of the forest pie, which is my favorite and you can never find! I actually clapped when I saw it, haha. That and some apple cider doughnuts which are so yummy when you warm them up for 20 seconds in the microwave.
Aren’t apples beautiful?
