Royal Wedding Scone Recipe

Is anyone else excited for the royal wedding on Saturday? In honor of the occasion I’m excited to share my Royal Wedding Scone Recipe. I made these for Kate & William’s wedding and they were delicious, I’m excited to enjoy them again while I watch the festivities! 

This recipe makes about a dozen small round scones. I suggest serving them with jam and Devonshire cream.  

Royal Wedding Scone Recipe

To make: 

Mix together 1 3/4 cup flour, 1/3 cup white sugar, 2 tsp. baking powder, and a dash of salt. Next, use a pastry blender or large fork to cut in 5 tbsp. chilled unsalted butter. Once the butter is fully combined mix in 4 tbsp. orange juice. Finish the dough by adding 1/2 cup chocolate chips. 

On a flat and floured surface roll the dough into a disc about 1/2 inch thick. Use a biscuit cutter or juice glass to cut out the scones. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
