I recently picked up a few new Charlotte Tilbury products and I am in love with them! I got the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow and the Kim KW lipstick. I have been eyeing them for ages, was bit by the beauty bug during the Sephora sale and decided to just go with it. I'm so glad I did because these products are gorgeous, inside the case and out.
The Filmstar Bronze and Glow is a contour and highlighter powder. They are slightly shimmery without being sparkly; you don't see glitter, but the effect is not matte. To use, I swiped the product onto my Sephora contour brush, and brushed the powder under my cheekbones, the sides of my forehead, my jaw line and very lightly on the sides of my nose. This is the first contour powder where I noticed a difference immediately, without feeling like I had mud on my face.
To find your cheekbones Charlotte Tilbury suggests sucking in your cheeks to make a fish face. It works!
To apply the highlighter I used my highlighter brush, and swept the product onto the top of my cheekbones, my cupid's bow, the bridge of my nose and my brow bone. The product looks glowy but not shimmery or sparkly, and since the powder is so fine you can easily build up to the intensity you want.
Also, you can use the same brush to apply the highlighter and the contour, Charlotte Tilbury makes one, but I like two brushes. That way you don't accidentally apply leftover bronzing powder to the highlight areas of your face.
The Kim KW lipstick is a very opaque nude lipstick with pink undertones. This is by far my favorite shade of nude; the pink undertones mean you don't get that whole "corpse" mouth look that can unfortunately happen with other nudes.
This color is very opaque, so to apply I blotted in onto my lips after putting on her lipliner in Pillow Talk. I then took my finger and lightly blended the two colors together. If you get the lipstick and think woah, this color is beige!, then try and blot it on and blend it. In my opinion it goes from eh to the perfect nude when you put it on this way. The only drawback to this color is that it shows if you lips are flaking, so make sure to moisturize and use a lip scrub before you apply it.
The are opening a full Charlotte Tilbury beauty counter in the Nordstrom near me soon, so I'm pretty sure there are more blog posts on her cosmetics in the future. I just love her products, especially these two new beauties.
Have you tried any of her makeup? What's your favorite?
