Today I am so excited to share my review of the Revlon One-Step Volumizer Hair Dryer. Like a lot of you, I assume, I first saw the brush on Instagram. It looked way to good to be true, but my blowdryer is on it’s last legs so I decided to try it out. Well, let me tell you, it exceeded my expectations! I get the same results using this volumizing brush as I do when I do a blowout with a round brush and blowdryer and it takes less time. Plus, this volumizing brush is a LOT less expensive than a nice blowdryer or the new Dyson hair tool looks a lot similar and is over $500. (And sold out everywhere.) Needless to say, I am thrilled with this hair tool.
What is the Revlon One-Step Volumizer Hair Dryer? Well, it looks a lot like a giant round brush that you plug in. When it’s turned on, hot our comes out of the sides of the brush, like if you put a round brush around the nozzle of a blow dryer.
How do you use it? I blow-dryed my hair just like I always do. I let my hair air dry for about 30 minutes and then I apply a blow dry cream; my favorite right now is the Alterna CC Cream. It has a nice hold but doesn’t feel sticky or crunchy. Then I section my hair using Dry Bar Clips. I dry the front first, and then I work my way up the back of my head one section of the top, and finally I do the hair at my crown. To use the brush, you place it under a section and then slowly roll it out (just like you would normally do with a round brush). Do this 2-3 times per section, depending on your hair. I took pictures of the process -
Then at the end I like to go through all my hair quickly one last time to make sure everything is dry. For your reference I have al to of hair, and it isn’t straight but it isn’t wavy. It can take me 40 minutes to dry with a cheap blowdryer; with the Revlon One-Step Volumizer Hair Dryer it took less than 20 minutes.
So, in short, 6/5 stars!
Have you tried this brush yet? Do you love it like I do?
