Over the weekend strawberries were buy one get one at my grocery store and I scooped them up before I was sure what I would do with them. They just looked so delicious! Before I was done picking up my groceries I knew I had to use them for chocolate covered strawberries, using the ganache I used to cover my madeleines with. Well, I’m happy to report they tasted delicious and took less than five minutes to make!
Here’s what you need: 1 pint strawberries, 1 cup chocolate chips, 1/2 tbsp olive oil, sprinkle of sea salt.
Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time until mostly melted. Stir in the olive oil and salt until everything is combined and melted together. Dip the strawberries in the chocolate and let dry on a plate for about 5 minutes. Enjoy!
The olive oil and sea salt really elevate the chocolate, making it taste extra decadent and delicious. I can’t wait to make more with my remaining strawberries!
