Happy Friday Friends

Brunch in New York City

Can you believe it is already the last weekend of September? I feels like the month just started, but I am excited to see what October has in store for all of us. I hope everyone had a good week! It was relatively quiet around here, and I’m looking forward to a slow and relaxing weekend full of lots of good food and hopefully a bit of baking. I think we’ll see A Simple Favor too; has anyone else seen it?

5 things I loved this week, including a few amazing sales!

1 - The Shop Bop sale is this week. It’s 20% off orders under $500 and 25% off orders over $500, and it includes items that never go on sale like Tory Burch flats, Ray Bans, and fall’s new boots. I’m debating whether or not I should get some new sunglasses. It seems like the glamorous oversized look is back with a vengeance and I love it! Here are some of my favorite picks from the sale:

2 - Tuckernuck is having their friends and family sale so everything is 20% off. They have the most gorgeous scarves. They look like Hermes and are under $50. They have a number of other cute items too, and the 20% off includes sale items. For instance the http://shopstyle.it/l/SM4g is only $16 plus 20% off! These gorgeous flower earrings are also $16 plus 20% and this bow blouse is $20 plus 20% off and absolutely adorable!

3 - Color Pop releases a Disney Princess inspired collection today! I can’t wait to get some Belle lipstick; she’s one of my all time favorite literary characters and I think a themed lipstick is the perfect way to add some fun to the morning.

4 - I popped into Paper Source to pick up this Halloween llama the other day. It is just so cute I couldn’t resist. Did you know they offer classes? I’m really excited to take some to perfect my paper crafting skills.

5 - Vineyard Vines is 25% off. It’s the perfect time to pick up some Shep Shirts and other cold weather staples. I wear my quilted She Shirt all the time; it’s both warm and light weight!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Do you have any fun plans?

Shopping For Summer

Can you believe it’s May? Memorial Day Weekend is this month, which I just find so amazing. I feel like January dragged and the rest of this year has flown by. We are trying to plan a fun getaway for the long weekend, which prompted me to look through my closet and see what essentials I need for the summer. I put together a list of all of my favorites, and I am excited to share it with all of you.

I love summer clothes, they are just so light and fun after winter. Don’t get me wrong, sweater and boot weather is amazing, but sandals are just my favorite. Here are the items I’m shopping for right now:

Sunglasses / Statement Earrings / Sweatshirt / White Shorts / Wrap Dress / Evening Dress / Tote / Sunscreen / Sandals / Espadrilles / Jean Jacket / Pink Top / Red Top

White sunglasses - Julia Engel wore those a lot last summer on Gal Meets Glam and I am convinced it is going to be the hit shape of the summer. I’ve already seen it spring up in pink, and have seen the white in some cheaper options here ($10), here ($16), and here ($10).

Statement Earrings - Big statement earrings are everywhere this summer. I already picked up these white ones (worn here), and I love these rose gold ones. I saw them in the store the other day and they are really stunning in person.

Sweatshirt - I love a good sweatshirt. All of my childhood summer memories involve running around in a sweatshirt and shorts on the beach, and they still make me so happy. I bought this one at J.Crew Factory the other weekend for a steal (about $25) and it is so soft and cozy.

White Shorts - You can’t go wrong with white shorts and white jeans in the summer. They look clean and fresh and match everything.

Wrap Dress - How cute is this new Draper James wrap dress? Plus it’s under $100! I think it is going to fly off the shelves; all their recent arrivals seem to sell out so quick.

Evening Dress - This is one of the Gal Meets Glam dresses coming out in May, but you can preorder it at Nordstrom now. I love the ruffle detailing all along the neckline and the back. The light floral pattern looks perfect for sweet summer nights as well.

Tote - I love the gingham bottom on this Vineyard Vines tote. It’s big enough to fit everything you need to the beach, plus, it’s on sale! They often add an extra 25% off sale a couple days after they start a big sale, so I’ll keep you guys posted!

Sunscreen - I never leave the house without SPF. The sun in South Florida is brutal, and I’m terrified of getting a bad burn on my face. This Glossier goes on sheer, and you can get 20% off your first Glossier order with my rep link. Or, this mouse sunscreen looks super cool too.

Sandals - As I’ve said on here before, I love my Jack Rogers. The quality is amazing, they are handmade, and they match everything. I think these striped Draper James ones are extra darling too.

Espadrilles - I recently ordered these and they are so cute. I don’t like wearing much of a heel, so I love that these are flat but still tie around the ankle.

Jean Jacket - I always pair a jean jacket with my sundresses or white shorts to keep me warm at night. This one is J.Crew, and I also really like the ones at Target, and they are a great price. Old Navy has some good ones as well!

Go To Top - This top ties in the front and has buttons up the back. How perfect is that?! I like to have a go to top that I feel cute and comfortable in, and I think this might be the shirt of the summer. Plus, it's on sale!

Red Top - I also like having a go to Tee for more casual occasions, and this one is so pretty. I think the bow details on the sleeves is really cute, and the red is a true classic red (which is my favorite).

Do you have any shopping lists for summer? I’d love to hear what you’ve found!

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday friends! This week flew by, which was really unexpected since I had a few long days full of not fun things like the dentist. I’m looking forward to a relaxing weekend, how about you? My husband is out of town so I’m going to watch so much girly TV and use Movie Pass to check out some movies he has not interest in. Any recommendations? I think Isle of Dogs is up first.

Breakers Sweet Shop

Along with movies, I have a few TV shows saved. If you are also looking to binge watch some fun bad TV I suggest Famous in Love, Southern Charm, and I'm excited to see how good Lost in Space is!

Also, I’m not going to lie, I’m also going to do some shopping! Here's what I'm eyeing -

GMG - The Gal Meets Glam collection drops at the GMG site and Nordstrom today at 9 am. I saw the look book (you can too if you are signed up Shop GMG emails!) and they are all absolutely stunning. I don't know how I'm going to pick! I hope they don't sell out before I get my favorite.

Sephora - It's the Sephora Spring Beauty Event! I've been eyeing the Drybar curling wand forever and now that it's finally on sale I'm going to spring for it! Don't worry, I'll do a full review once I've used it a few times!

Also, these J.Crew Factory Bow Shorts are so cute! I think these earrings would match a GMG dress perfectly.

I found this bubble rocket I got my little cousin for her 5th birthday. Isn't it so fun?

I think I will also be catching up with old friends and having an at home spa day. Do you have any favorite activities for a fun girly weekend?

I hope you all have a lovely Friday and wonderful weekend,
